Farndale Daffodils by Graeme Miles

Graeme had this knack of being able to epitomise nature and seasons in just a few words and with his Farndale Daffodils the joy of walking with your love over the hills and viewing together the golden daffodils.

FARNDALE   DAFFODILS     BY GRAEME MILES.

The winds of March all blown away the April skies show fair

The fields are growing green again no more lie white and bare

So come my love and walk with me over yonder hills

And then on Farndale we may chance to view the daffodils

And then on Farndale we may chance to view the daffodils

The sun is turning warm again gone the winter so drear

And from the deep of their winter’s sleep the beasts begin to appear

So come my love and walk with me over yonder hills

And then on Farndale we may chance to view the daffodils

And then on Farndale we may chance to view the daffodils

When spring and summer are over and for winter we are bound

When the cold damp mists of October come creeping in all around

My love and I once more will walk over yonder hills.

And in our mind’s eye again we’ll view the Farndale daffodils

And in our mind’s eye again we’ll view the Farndale daffodils
